When
Installing the
"Hands Free
Security" systems on Custom Bikes, there
are four different types of installs that you may come
across.
Type 1
is a Custom with a specialized Ignition system,
like made by Wire Plus, Thunderheart and others. These
systems typically have a module that can be opened up and
contain a starter relay that will be replaced by either a
Digital Guard Dawg
DGD-1 or DGD-2
Smart Relay. ***See Smart Relay pictures and compare relay
styles for match.
Type 2
is a Custom that has an inline Start Relay without a
Socket . Inline relay's will use a
DGD-1.
Type 3
If there is NO Start relay, You will need
a
DGD-M1
which includes the wiring
harness.
Type 4
is a "Sealed" ignition system. This is the type of
Ignition system used on 2004 and newer Bigdog bikes. Since
everything in sealed in a big brick of epoxy, you will need
a
DGD-M1
which includes the wiring
harness. |
